During my Baguio trip this week, I much appreciated the importance of the conservation of trees especially when I saw some parts of the mountains have no trees because of the landslides. This Earth Month eco-challenge gave me additional inspiration to continue helping and protecting our mother Earth.

As I reflect on eco-challenges, I thought of what better learnings to easily have other than engaged a sit down conversation with my mother whom have been growing a mini garden at an open lot within our community. I have learned that on the course of her 2 years gardening, it somehow helped the flooding problem on the streets near our area in...

Volunteering help me understand the needs of the community. It pushes you to take action on what could help the ecosystem in a simplest of ways that you wouldn't even have thought will make an impact.

That there are plenty of organizations driven by a cause which we can participate and at the same time learn from.

Almost 70% of the wastes I generated came from our kitchen and most of them are single-use plastics used as packaging of the food we eat. Going forward, I will use reusable containers and shopping bags.

Every year, humans generate and use a huge amount of plastic, from single-use plastic bottles and bags to packaging materials. We can contribute to positive environmental change and help save the earth for future generations by making deliberate decisions to minimize our everyday consumption of plastic and by supporting larger efforts to...

I became more conscious of the issues and needs that our community faces after doing this activity for several days. This inspired me to become involved and drive further initiatives to support a healthy and sustainable environment.

This activity helped me realize how much trash I’m generating from my day-to-day activities and that I'm not so conscious about the products I'm buying, for example, taking product packaging into consideration; single-use plastics can accumulate in a short amount of time! Going forward, I would opt for more reusable alternatives, such as...
