🌏 Welcome to Earth Month Ecochallenge 2026!
Since the first Earth Day in 1970, when 20 million people across the United States came together to call for a healthier planet, Earth Day has grown into the world’s largest annual civic engagement event. Today, that spirit of collective action extends throughout the month of April. Earth Month Ecochallenge turns that inspiration into something lasting: practical actions that build habits, connection, and real-world impact.
People and Planet: Resilient Together - Your Choices Shape Our World
Our Earth Month Ecochallenge event runs from April 1 to April 30 and invites people everywhere to take meaningful action for the issues they care about most. Participants choose actions that align with their values and commit to them throughout the month, building positive habits that support personal well-being, stronger communities, and a healthier planet. Each action earns points and contributes to measurable impact, and together, those actions add up to something powerful.
This year’s theme, People and Planet: Resilient Together, focuses on resilience: the capacity to adapt, recover, and grow stronger through change. Resilience lives in people, in communities, and in the natural systems that sustain us. In a world shaped by uncertainty, it helps us stay grounded, connected, and capable of creating positive change. Our new actions and categories will help you explore resilience at many levels - personal, in your community, in the organizations you are part of, and in nature.
Whether you take one-time steps or commit to practices you can carry forward long after Earth Month, every action contributes to a shared future where people and planet can adapt and thrive - side by side.
Earth Month Ecochallenge is free and open to all. You can participate on your own, with friends and family, or as part of a workplace or community team.
This Earth Month, let’s show what’s possible when we act with care, community, and purpose. People and planet are resilient together, and your actions help make that resilience real.
