I’m going to start incorporating this into my weekly fold. It was easier than I thought now that I utilize reusable, meal prep and am conscious of my everyday usage.

The importance of trees and how it impacts not only our air but the inhabitants of the forest goes unnoticed too often. I’m very mindful of the part that forests plays in my life whether personal or environmental I will always advocate for them.

My husband and I have been looking more into solar energy for our home. Not only does it help us with our energy bills but it reduces greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change, which is critical to protecting humans, wildlife, and ecosystems.

I have been wanting to look into this too. I think it will be worth the investment in more ways than just reducing energy bills. I like things that can have multiple benefits.

We did this and couldn’t be happier. Living in NV definitely has the benefit of continuous sunshine, our bill last month was $18. It’s a great investment, also look into tankless water heater, it was a game changer for us.

When I was on vacation, I looked for more eco-friendly and "local" businesses to buy gifts for the family. Not only were they fun to give, but sharing the story behind them made the gift also more meaningful.

I had a great time this morning, picking up leftover food containers, cans, bottles, and Sand Dollars! The Sand Dollar is not trash, but more of a sustainable part of the ocean and ecosystems. I collected 9 today. One for each grandbaby I have. Life is now complete.

If we can, all align in regards to how we treat each other with respect and kindness, I definitely believe that problems can be resolved faster and resolution leads to efficiencies.

Land + Forests Personal Waste Audit
What are the results of your waste audit and what did you learn? How can you reduce your waste going forward?

We were surprisingly low when we did our audit as we already compost, so food, waste is limited in addition to not utilizing single use plastic and reusable rags towels, etc. We will definitely consider some other additional items that we saw as we were completing our waste audit for sure.
