I've had a blast being part of this year's EcoChallenge! I've learned a lot and had the opportunity to meet so many great people. I will work to keep up the newfound habits I've developed from this experience and I hope you all will too! Here's to an even better Ecochallenge next year!

If we all try to make a difference, even if it is only a small impact in the grand scheme of our loves, it adds up quick. I would love to see Ecochallenge be a way for people to connect outside as well, esepcially via LinkedIn for all of the professionals in fields related to sustainably.

I had no idea. Still working on the best solution for my home, but this like many other insights this month will change my habits.

Biodiversity + Wildlife Invest in Nature
What did you learn about how investing can support the environment and create a more sustainable world?

Understanding that some companies actually make the environment and a sustainable world a key part of their strategic priorities shows that a balance can be stuck between profits and the environment.

Great points William! California has been a leader in several sustainability areas by setting the nation's first economy-wide greenhouse gas limit, new homes require solar panels, and they are committed to 100% renewable energy by 2045. They also were first to take the initiative to cut greenhouse gas emissions, and by 2035, they will no longer sell gas vehicles, and now 8 more states have followed suit!

Biodiversity + Wildlife Volunteer in my Community
How does volunteering enhance your community and/or change your relationship with it?

Spending time in the community just takes you away from your own day to day which can seem so important. It helps to maintain perspective.

This month has been so insightful going beyond the initial conversation on needs versus wants to really understanding for those needs how different choices could have a monumental impact.

Emerson and NI employees got together for a clean up event this morning. Met a lot of hard working people. Lost track of how many shopping carts were discovered. Felt good to leave the park nicer than the way we found it. Good work everyone!
