    Shoreline clean up on April 30 with a friend for 2 hours

    I joined in on volunteering at a local farm. Getting ready for the season. It was great to learn more about the positive impact on the community as well as the history of the farm and the impact that it has had for 100's of years.

    I walked outside a lot this month, including when traveling for work. I also did reformer pilates (my favorite) and a strength training workout with friends. I need more strength training for sure.

    Taking time to myself. Getting outside and moving is so important for managing anxiety.

    I knew that I was addicted to sugar and still am. I feel better when I limit it or remove it entirely. It's everywhere. Today at the grocery store I reminded myself to stick to the outside aisles and not to go down the aisles with all the sweet treats.

    Fruits and Vegetables are so important. They have helped with how I feel and by eating more, I've been eating less processed food, which has helped my mood as well. Honeygold pineapple has been my favorite fruit to eat this month, if my children don't get to it before me.

    Congratulations to everybody for making it to our final day of the Eco Challenge! Can't wait to continue my new habits daily and to participate in next year's challenge!

    My subdivision has been a place where we are constantly discussing how we can do/live/be better. This month with World Day we focused on eliminating excess water use in the park within our community by removing grass and utilizing more xeriscape, we also painted the border walls of our dog park and made a litter station.

    What did you notice about how much of your food waste could be composted? I have a pretty big compost set up with chickens, so I don't have to be picky with the food waste I put into the compost area. They will eat meat, dairy and other foods generally not recommended for composting. They turn the food into yummy eggs and hot nitrogen manure....
