It’s eye-opening to realize how much food—and money—we waste without even thinking about it. When I reflect on where I’d rather use that $1,500, I immediately think of experiences that create lasting value—like travel, investing in wellness, or supporting local food initiatives that help others access fresh, healthy meals. Looking at my own...

One person who really inspired me on the feed was Angela Mea Clarete—they shared a perspective that genuinely challenged how I think about how take advantage of the summer season. Their post wasn't just insightful; it sparked a whole new way of looking at things for me.

One of the best ways I avoid more plastic when grocery shopping is by bringing my own produce bags (or not use them at all)! It is also best to avoid processed food as much as possible, because it usually comes with the most packaging. I also try to go buy produce from my local farmers market when I can.

I've found the best way to reduce my water consumption is by taking shorter showers. I have long hair that can take a while to wash. Moving forward, I'm going to try and turn of the water while I'm shampooing and conditioning my hair.

This challenge is rather difficult for me in the aspect of unlearning to use plastic bags. I've used them a lot and the process of remembering my reusable bags, whether its the three I keep in my purse or the ones i bought specifically for groceries, it does get a bit challenging to keep the pattern of using my reusable bags in store.

I try to always make sure that my two animals don't contribute harm the local wildlife around my house, especially since I live in front of a bayou. I also believe as responsible pet owners you have to be aware of the different species native to the area around and how certain household pets can and will damage them, and its also good to note...

At home, I often try to avoid using a lot of plastic, I'm a big fan of blind boxes, and it always upsets me at just how much plastic is used in those small boxes, I try to curve purchasing them as to not contribute to more waste and over consumption, but the cute faces make it so hard :]

This months conservations are going extremely well as I am donating and decluttering lots of items as I will be moving to Seattle for the Summer then either staying or moving out East. So, lots of downsizing, sifting through my items, and repurposing found items.

Ive already shared so many photos of my raised garden beds, but i now understand why plant obsession exists. The joy of seeing them grow, and it gives me something to stay busy. I was finding myself exhausted after work and just sitting around. This keeps me busy and learning.

I already use reusable grocery bags as trash bags for smaller trash cans in my house!
