Being mindful of how much fresh food you are purchasing at a time is a big part of it. By the time I can get to all ingredients/items I've purchased from a single trip, I often find molded or expired food.

In my city, reusable bags are a must. Unless you want to be charged for every bag, it's best to bring one yourself! Because of this, I found this challenge easy!

GREAT JOB, partners!!! What an incredible Earth Month!!!

As the month ends... the only one time action I didn't complete is advocate for better packaging. I will purchase items based on sustainable packaging, hoping that my dollar does the advocating.... but I am realizing I am uncomfortable with petitions, letters, etc. I need to learn from others on how to overcome this.

I'm very proud of my progress from last year to now, especially around bathroom waste. I am almost zero waste in my bathroom. I think I will be able to only need to change my bathroom trash can once or twice this year. (shampoo/conditioner bar, face wash bar, moisturizer bar, I compost my q tips, use period underwear, wear glasses instead of...

Harvested small radishes today! I don't even know if I like radishes. But growing them makes me more likely to try them

I have always been a fruit fanatic but veggies is where I struggle to eat enough of them! Ive been pescatarian since I was 7 (I was so sad that chickens were in my chicken nuggets). I still eat a lot of fish for protein, but am trying to only eat sustainably. For my fruit, I found a pink pineapple at the grocery store and its delicious! saved...

I emit the most carbon by owning just a car even though I can do better of biking and walking more. Since I don't live that close to the office, I have been trying to do a combination of biking and taking public transportation to offset my carbon footprint. I can pay more attention to ensure my house insulation is updated and prevent energy...

I am trying to grow luffa to make my own dish scrubbies, but they take 9 months to grow and unfortunately I need to wash dishes now. I bought two types to try, a wooden/bamboo brush, and a pad with burlap as the scrub surface. Both are compostable when they are scrubbed out! One day it'll be sponges from home grown luffa!
