I have not started my waste audit yet, but found this article really intersting (in french) and made me think that we can make it happen, jsut by being more conscious about what we do ( link to the article : https://www.nationalgeographic.fr/environnement/2022/07/on-a-teste-pour-vous-une-semaine-sans-sacs-et-emballages-plastiques)

We have organized a sustainable fashion event today in St Priest - very powerful images and messages linked to how the clothes are produced, to the hidden cost of human lives and health and to the huge amount of polution produced by the ultra fast fashion industry. I strongly encourage everyone to watch the True Cost documentary - truly an eye...

Well... it doesn't look promising :D it's just for one day and still i have in the fridge vegetables in plastics, raspberries in plastic, milk, fruit juice in plastic... I have the impression it's not an easy task to reduce all this waste, specially when in the supermarkets almost everything is in plastic or some kind of protection. Time will...

It has been in 2 ways, first I borrowed from a friend un "Cocotte minute", as I don have it and really I am using it like once per year even less, so it was great to do it and not but one! and this week I borrowed to a friend my luggage, like this she was able not to buy one, as she doesn't need it that often. I think we can really...

When thinking about what I bring back from my travels, I realize that over the years, I started to change habits. Few years back, I used to bring back cups (I have a huge collection :)) that were probably all made out of China. On my last trip, I brought back local spices and a handmade plate produced locally. I think that is the right path to...

Walking to and from the office each day - very nice exercise, giving me the opportunity to admire wild life and recognize wild plants - some used as traditional medicine to treat various diseases.

Drought has been a real issue these past years - when in reality it shouldn't have been, it used to rain quite a lot. Last year we had to pour buckets of water to trees and plants to prevent them for dying of thirst.

Day 15: I have realized that one of the important things of EcoChallenge is to educate the others in the Earth spirit. For me the most challenging is with my family members - other generations who did not know about the pollution effect of oil thrown into the water or about recycling. We learn and grow together!

This is the carbon foot print by kind of transport for 10 000 km Along the last 13 month I traveled 34400 Km this means 99 kg CO2 Same distance by car would have drives to 7 399 kg CO2 The saving is 7300 Kg CO2 or impact divided by 74. Choosing the right transport is a key factor of our emission impact !
