Wilson County residents are able to get free mulch this week at the Wilson County Landfill, but only two grades of mulch instead of its usual $5.00 fee. I went to get some mulch to help with my gardening that I'm doing this year.

I have enjoyed spending time in the fresh air with my family. It has made me feel more energized. Last night we got to go to the strawberry patch and it was beautiful out.

I use a lot of plastic day to day and need to start using other alternatives. While at a NC beach this weekend we opted to use paper bags instead of plastic bags. Here is a good start :)

Freshwater + Oceans Reduce Pollutants in Cleaning
What did you learn about ingredients in our cleaning products and how they impact water and biodiversity? Did you try making your own cleaning products? If so, how did it go?

Majority of the cleaning products we use often contain chemicals that can end up polluting our water sources. The chemicals present in cleaning products can contribute to indoor and outdoor air pollution. Adopting sustainable cleaning practices is crucial for keeping a healthier living environment. I have made some "DIY" cleaners just by using a few ingredients I already had at home. Like baking soda, vinegar, and hydrogen peroxide.

Trying to borrow a Kentucky Derby hat from Ms. Trish at Dance Studio B instead of buying one since I only need it for a one-time use!
