April 30 at 11:04 AMTry some loose-leaf tea for zero waste days or any other days! My favorite tea is dried chamomile, fresh mint from the garden, and honey: it's easy on a sore throat, and it's delicious! If you like tea from tea bags like me, try contacting the company to find out what they use for their tea bags!

April 30 at 10:54 AMI planted a few different plants: evening primrose, ground ivy, scabiosa, and echinacea, for example, which I was glad to find at an organic plant nursery. An employee there helped me to find plants friendly for various insects, including bees.

April 30 at 10:40 AMI emit a lot of carbon during travel, such as travel with the car or by plane. Unfortunately, we have more trips planned by plane this year. Maybe we can use a carbon offset? I would also like to try to use as much public transport as possible. Maybe I can reduce my waste more with zero-waste, seasonal, and low carbon choices.

April 30 at 10:27 AMI learned that traditional Mediterranean, pescatarian and vegetarian diets are definitely lower in carbon emissions than a regular diet including meats. I will try to prioritize legumes and consider adapting to a more Mediterranean diet. I already try to reduce meat intake and do not consume dairy products.

April 29 at 10:32 AMI learned about how water scarcity can impact us as only 0.5% of water is useable and available freshwater, however terrestrial water storage has dropped 1cm per year in the last 20 years and rising sea levels will result in extending the salinization of groundwater. But I learned about some great tips that you can do to save water: filling a...

April 29 at 12:32 AMIt was definitely hard to have a Zero Waste Day. Most of all, I found it hard to think about the food I was eating. While I didn't bring plastic and paper food packaging down to zero, I did attempt to reduce it. After all, I had learned that recycling is important to zero waste, although the main priority is to stop waste at the source. I tried...

April 27 at 11:16 AMThe environmental impacts of my own lifestyle might be shifted to the forests and oceans, where wood and plastic and fossil fuels are sourced, thus negatively impacting these ecosystems. Also, forests are cut down to make room for agriculture.

April 27 at 11:13 AMI learned that regenerative agriculture is a philosophy that views agriculture as a web, not as a supply chain. It focuses on soil health and there are a variety of practices: I learned about using cover crops, no-till farming, and viewing the importance of animals in this farming. There are many benefits of regenerative agriculture: carbon...

April 27 at 11:05 AMI feel I would most like to focus on traveling on durable surfaces. It's important to work on and it can be challenging but is doable, even though I don't camp, but may be in the park or something.
