April 25 at 10:54 AMBeautiful springtime! I can't believe I never made the connection that the Golden Chain Tree (Laburnum) is related to Wisteria. Both are in the Fabaceae family, commonly known as the legume or pea family. Your botany lesson for the day! :-)

Living in Denver, I feel so lucky to have 300 days of sunshine a year so that I can walk outside almost every day. Walking with a weighted vest is also the only type of exercise I actually enjoy. April 22 at 11:23 AMI think the most rewarding part of hosting herbal medicine making classes is the fun of getting together in the kitchen! It can be a little challenging to get the materials together, but I've learned that people are willing and even grateful to bring their own jars, etc, which makes for sustainable collaborations!

April 15 at 3:27 PMI reached out to the ecologia office in my small [Mexican] town and offered support for recycling efforts they're promoting. In particular, I'll be volunteering to help vacation rental hosts in participating in the local recycling program. It feels like a win!
