I wanted to make one last post - the last week-end of the challenge i spent at Pybus for the Master Gardener's Plant sale. So many people were out buying plants, shrubs and from me (representing the GW Arbor Day Association) trees. It was uplifting to see so many trees being planted in our area - so good for the climate.

Thank you for another April Eco-Challenge! If learning, doing these challenges puts us out of our comfort zone, today I watched a great recent talk by Bill McKibben who reminded us "The planet is outside of its comfort zone." Thanks EVERYONE for anything done, signing up and doing this challenge. No small commitment.

So very grateful for Winton Manufacturing for Community Composting service in our rural area (Leavenworth WA). I no longer create methane in the landfill. They are doing great work and making huge impact - thank you ladies!! Website: WintonMFG.com

This is a true challenge on the days I just don't want to leave the house!! It never fails to be a healthy choice and put a smile on my face and in my heart!

Plastic is hard whether visible or invisible. Will try to be a conscious consumer & shopper to minimize its use. It's fossil fuels and destroys life. Alternatives exist and we need to demand them. Algae, hemp, cellulose and much more.

When I began this year's challenge I did not know a lot about the guidelines for eating fish that might affect climate. At least I am beginning to learn so I can be aware of what to check - what to stay away from. I am not there yet but moving in the right direction.

I work with an exceptional team firm, Cordell, Neher and Company PLLC, and every year the firm works on a community service project. This year's project will be on May 23, 2024, for Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center, Entiat, WA. I believe in, Giving back to our Community and Paying it Forward for others in the world 🌎 🙏.
