I wanted to make one last post - the last week-end of the challenge i spent at Pybus for the Master Gardener's Plant sale. So many people were out buying plants, shrubs and from me (representing the GW Arbor Day Association) trees. It was uplifting to see so many trees being planted in our area - so good for the climate.

Thank you for another April Eco-Challenge! If learning, doing these challenges puts us out of our comfort zone, today I watched a great recent talk by Bill McKibben who reminded us "The planet is outside of its comfort zone." Thanks EVERYONE for anything done, signing up and doing this challenge. No small commitment.

Plastic is hard whether visible or invisible. Will try to be a conscious consumer & shopper to minimize its use. It's fossil fuels and destroys life. Alternatives exist and we need to demand them. Algae, hemp, cellulose and much more.

Freshwater + Oceans Smart Seafood Choices
Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

When I began this year's challenge I did not know a lot about the guidelines for eating fish that might affect climate. At least I am beginning to learn so I can be aware of what to check - what to stay away from. I am not there yet but moving in the right direction.
