April 23 at 6:11 AMOn Sunday I planted tomatoes, jalapenos, onions and potatoes. This is my first attempt at a small garden. If all goes well, we will expand it next year.

April 23 at 5:04 AMI had collected seeds last year and let them over-winter outside in a protected container. I had some bee balm seeds that I planted in a new area where I dug up some of the lawn to extend my wildflower garden. I hope to see hundreds of buzzing bees on the new plants in a month or two!

April 22 at 8:42 AMThis Earth Day, why I conserve is that others may enjoy a crisp cold morning outside among the trees. That's what I did this past weekend.
-
April 22 at 6:29 AMI live next to the national forest where many people come to recreate. Unfortunately, there is often trash left behind. I spend one day every month cleaning up the forest.

April 22 at 3:41 AMHappy Earth Day! 🌎 Celebrated by making a donate to our fundraiser. Anyone else celebrating in a fun way?

April 21 at 8:26 PMI have met my personal goal of taking stock of all waste I make, not just single use plastic, and findingat least 7 replacements so that I make less waste overall. To replace swiffer handheld dusters, I bought reusable fleece ones. I go through a lot of paper towels, so I bought swedish dishcloths; one of those cloths equals 17 paper towel...

April 21 at 8:10 PMI learned that I am doing better on my water footprint than average, but there are a few things I intend on doing to make it even less. I plan to get a rain barrel and replace my faucets as well as changing up how I wash my dishes so that I don't waste as much water.

April 21 at 6:40 PMI was shocked that we would need 4.7 Earths if everyone lived like me. And I thought I was doing pretty good by eating meat maybe twice a week and driving short distances and making an effort to recycle (though this month I have been learning that there is progress to be made there). I make the most carbon with my home. My appliances are all...
