When we used to live in Gallup, NM. We would visit the local markets that was run by the Hopi and Navajo people. You would be able to get woven blankets, dry sage, peppers, oils, vegetables and trinkets. My father in-law was the Chief Medical Officer for California Area Indian Health Service and previously in Gallup, NM. When he passed, the...

I'm a house plant lover. Teach my son how to take care of the indoor plants and making sure they get sunlight and water. I don't have a full yard to have a garden. But I do go to our local community garden to get our vegetables and herbs that we help planted.

My family and I went to Tonto National Forest and went paddle boarding in the river. We got to see the wild horses roaming the area. We also enjoy the Wildlife Reserves, they were out teaching us about the native plants and what we should not do. Also, what you bring in, you pack out. Do not liter or leave trash behind.

Supporting the local community that provides environmental education, self-caring and healthy choices in our food. They teach us how and when to grow our fruits and vegetables. Garden club or church communities are free to join and you donate your time to assist.

Forests provide natural resources, such as food, fiber, and fuel, that support people's health and livelihoods. They also filter our air, regulate water cycles, and help mitigate the hazardous effects of climate change through carbon sequestration. Taking 2-3 days out of the month to go explore the surrounding area that is open and no...

Looking for certain products that have logos of rainforest friendly and FSC. The Rainforest Alliance certification is found on a variety of products of tropical origin. The seal indicates that the product is sourced from producers committed to rainforest-friendly production methods. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifies that wood...
