    One thing that I learned regarding freshwater and the oceans is that sea-level rise is projected to extend salinization of groundwater, decreasing freshwater availability for humans and ecosystems in coastal areas

    I purchased a few items that meet the Oeko-Tex standard 100 that have been tested and proven free of harmful levels of toxic substances. The items I bought were free from 1000 harmful substances.

    I feel more connected to other people in my community and it helps me gain understanding of the realities that others face. In terms of sustainability, it seems like that can be a luxury for the wealthy and those not in survival mode unless we set up systems that make it easy to make a sustainable choice.

    I did an energy audit of my home and I found that our home scored between average and great. I learned that upgrading some appliances to their energy efficient versions would improve my home's energy audit. I also found out that if I changed my AC setting from 74 degrees to 78, that I could have a potential savings of up to $546.00/year.
