Today I hosted 16 women at my house and taught them how to plant a planter box to grow veggies from start to finish. We had so much fun and I was able to share my knowledge about using natural pest repellants, natural fertilizer and how to build a low drip irrigation system.

Last night at our community meeting for our subdivision, I was able to share the experience my husband and I had on our hike and asked everyone to do the same. We now have everyone being accountable in a group chat to show their LNT haul from local parks and hikes!

Today I learned about our wild horses up in Mt. Charleston and what they are doing to protect them from tourists. Unfortunately people are allowing the horses to stick their heads inside cars and feeding them which leads to unbalance and potential harm to the animals not to mention roadside accidents. It was great to know that there is an active community focusing on their safety!
