My thoughts were very calm and my emotions were stable. It allowed me to have a clear mind and think more logically. I found it easy to meditate but also easy to get off track for a few seconds.

Usually before meditating I'm stressed out or overwhelmed and that's why I decide to meditate that time during that day, and after I'm feeling more calm and chilled out which is kind of like a magic trick because I've had trouble calming myself down when I'm overwhelmed my whole life. Therefore, I find it easy to meditate because I know I will...

Exercising helps my mental well-being. It gives me time to get fresh air and clear my mind. Rather than thinking about everything I need to do, I relax and enjoy it. My dog has actually loved it too. We don't usually go for walks. She's seven and has always been a lazy potato, but this is also getting her going.

I joined this challenge because it was mandatory for a class, but I ended up really liking it and thought it helped me with a lot of different things. I've been trying to sleep more, which has been going decent, but the biggest thing that has helped me is meditation and exercise. I've been able to stay consistent with those because I can see...

I try to be more mindful of the amount of water I use in daily life. That includes doing my dishes, laundry, and showering. I plan ahead with my dishes, ensuring they all are soaking so it takes less water to rinse before using soap in the long run. It has been a lot harder than what I initially thought it would be.

We had some great rains here! The rainwater is really starting to add up and the new garden soaked up all the rain. So excited!

I learned about the fringed puccoon plant that's native to my area. The fringed puccoon provides food and a habitat while helping to stabilize soil and attract pollinators in the area. It also has a history of being used as a medicine by Native Americans. If this species disappeared, it would cause a shake-up in the habitat and food supply for...

It was very difficult to have a zero waste day because of what my daily routine has been recently, especially in college life. I learned that I always have a habit of buying things throughout the day that will serve me in the moment and not in the long run. It makes me think more sustainably about my actions and I will be more conscious going...

Exercising in the morning helped me stay away from screen during the time. The activity I enjoyed the most is pushups because after exercising all these days, I can feel my strength. I couldn't do a single pushup with correct form before I started. Now I can do 6 of them.

Water Justice Issues in Vermillion, SD that I learn about is: Wastewater Management: Flooding can cause wastewater to contaminate local rivers. Contaminants in Drinking Water: Legal limits are met, but safety concerns persist. Taste Concerns: Water meets regulations but has an unpleasant taste. Who is most affected? Residents: Health risks...
