Christy Habart 4/26/2024 6:28 AMEvery day during my vacation to Miami Beach my husband and I would walk the beach to pick up trash. We always had bags full of plastic, paper, glass bottles and metal caps each day. It surprised us how much trash people threw away on the beach even with trash cans nearby. I even picked up a shirt from the weedy sand dunes that was just my size! How rewarding overall! I plan to join in more group cleanups in the future to keep our oceans and beaches clean.-

Matt A 4/20/2024 10:26 AMI spent my Saturday morning cleaning up Riverside Park! This is along the Mohawk River in Schenectady NY. It was such a feeling of accomplishment to get together with a group of people who care and do something good for the community and the river wildlife.

My haul:
The team effort. It looks small here, but it was amazing what we collected in one morning.
I got a free tee too!

Matt A 4/17/2024 2:52 PMMy library started a "library of things" collection, with all sorts of useful tools, instruments, games and devices that can be borrowed by the community. This is a sharing economy! Check with libraries in your area to see if they have something similar, or encourage them to adopt this idea! -
Matt A 4/16/2024 10:47 AMIt all started with a 14 year old girl and a t shirt! Very inspiring story of how one person made a difference.
