April 30 at 10:47 PMI definitely was addicted to sugar before starting the challenge. I did fail a few days throughout, but I feel a lot better now, knowing that before I couldn't go 1 day without sugar. I think the hardest part of quitting was cutting out things that don't seem like they'd have added sugars, but do. Mainly with snacks, I had to stop eating all of...

April 30 at 9:02 PMBy eating more fruits and veggies over meat or other types of snacks, I noticed I felt less bogged down physically. I also feel good about my reduced carbon footprint since fruits and veggies take up less water than meat. I’ve gotten in the habit of making daily fruit smoothies for my family and I, which has been such a great addition to our...

April 30 at 8:58 PMWalking each day helped both me and my daughter appreciate spring and feel more emotionally regulated. I noticed a stark difference in our moods on the days we didn’t get outside and I plan to continue this part of the challenge.

April 30 at 8:52 PMI've forgotten to post and track most of my daily activities for the month, so I've filled them retroactively. thankfully, I keep a daily journal to help keep reference. I've been really intentional with my earth month activities, and it feels nice. I chose items that were easy enough to adapt to my life or bring back habits I've already...

April 30 at 7:50 PMWOW! Talk about resilience! On the last day of the Ecochallenge, we continued to work on converting our bioswale into a pond and added in pruning our laurel hedge and trimming back our apple trees. What a huge effort! Do you have experience with laurel hedges? I can't believe how fast they grow! We are grateful for the privacy they offer and...

April 30 at 11:36 AMDuring my earth month ecochallenge i have tried to drive less, hoping it can reduce my carbon footprint. I have tried carpooling with co-workers and started using trimet transportation.

April 30 at 11:35 AMMy earth month ecochallenge is going great. I have been able to conserve more food by being more cautious on not over buying certain foods. I have tried to maintain a balance in consuming more protein-based food and less processed food.

April 29 at 11:12 PMIt was easier than what I thought, to check in everyday, made me realize small changes are implemented with habits and it helps integrating important changes in our lives.
-
April 29 at 11:06 PMHonestly I haven’t had a checkup in a while and It’s been a goal for the first couple months of this year to check in with someone to see how I’m doing physically and it honestly made me feel really to talk to someone about my health and know that they want the best for me

April 29 at 10:32 PMExpressing gratitude has made me feel much more connected to the people around me. For example, just doing one nice thing a day for a random person can boost my mood for the rest of the day. Getting through work days is so much easier when I'm spreading happiness. I think that these small acts of kindness can spread. If someone does something...
