M&T Think Green

I love composting and using the nutrients to nourish my garden, I am coordinating a Planting Day next Month that I have posted in MyCommunity. I am hoping for a great turn out!

My electric company is working on installing smart meters also to start ensuring accuracy with each months bill instead of doing an estimate read every other month and an actual read every other month.

I recently volunteered for a local food pantry. It was great to see all the m&t people volunteering but also others from the community and getting to know people. Then when the cars started coming thru to use the pantry- what a wonderful feeling to be able to help people in need with food essentials.

I decided to bring my dog with me on the trip; but realized that I can also see alot more of the country in doing so. I am very excited for the trip. i can do this again!

Another big change in our household is getting my husband to stop hand washing every dish or rinsing them all before putting them in the dishwasher. I have had limited success.

trying to catch up with conservation

Sharing economy is alive and well in my area of Vermont. We share and trade most things, and commonly check in with others before going to buy or putting things in the trash. This week is was shipping boxes. Amazon, Chewy and other shippers have in demand boxes for moving and organizing. I found someone moving and provided the boxes and packing...

I love having all of the ingredients I need for the week. And knowing "what's for dinner" instead of last minute scrambling for ideas.

I took my dog for a walk and breathing in the fresh air always helps

I just thought that it clogged the drains. It appears that there is alot more environmental damage that it does as well. I will now let it harden and use it in other ways.
