  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land + Forests Borrow Before I Buy
How did you participate in the sharing economy? (Consider posting a photo!) What are the benefits of a sharing economy? How could a sharing economy change the dynamics you have with friends, family and/or neighbors?

A sharing economy could bring you closer to friends, neighbors, etc. Borrowing before buying helps you just as much as it helps the planet because it reduce waste but also it saves your money. I almost always see if a friend has something before I buy it. (For example: a hot glue gun.)

Action Track: Community Raise Awareness for the Conservation of Freshwater and Oceans
What did you learn about freshwater and oceans you did not already know? In sharing this information with people in your life, which conversation was impactful to you?

By sharing this information I learned things in my conversation that I did not know before and I also got to teach someone else about how you can help the ocean. While doing my research I found out that our carbon footprint has a lot to do with ocean and water pollution, so I also got to research ways to reduce carbon footprint.

I did a project on Palm Oil in 5th grade, and I am still passionate about it today. I always look for RSPO certified products, although sometimes things just have palm oil that you can't really substitute.

Picking up litter shows that you care about your community and the environment. It inspires others to do the same and can help you meet like-minded individuals. It's a simple way to participate in making your community a better place, and a way to make friends!

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land + Forests 30 for 30 in Nature
What have you noticed about how it feels to spend consistent time outside?

    Lea Roumain-Portelette's avatar
    Lea Roumain-Portelette 4/24/2024 4:48 PM
It made me feel more relaxed and less stressed. It gave me a space to think and a new environment to process thoughts and think about the things that I have to do. Spending consistent time outside helped me clear my mind before coming back inside and doing homework.
