During this month, I have learned and have been realizing the extra waste, ways to prevent waste, ways to cut use of extra water, new products that are more beneficial for me and the Earth. I have took more time to read the packaging and labels when I am at the store of products and looking at getting new ecofriendly products to use. Products that can also help cut the cost of things down. Overall, I have so enjoyed this, I hope everyone has learned something new and keep helping the Earth thrive! 🌍🌱🌼🌞💧🌸

Doing this Ecochallenge has been such an amazing experience, and I've really enjoyed learning from everyone. The biggest lesson I've learned here is that making an impact can be much easier than it seems, and we don't have to do everything at once. Each gentle step of the way makes a difference and even the little actions are worth it. I feel proud of the impact I and my team have made, and I definitely plan to join more challenges in the future!

How did replacing old bulbs with LED bulbs make you feel about reducing your energy consumption? What other small energy-saving actions could you take to reduce your environmental impact?

It made me feel good knowing that we are reducing the energy consumption in our house. When we moved into our house, my dad changed out all the lights to be LED.

Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now? What was the most challenging part of reducing refined sugar, and how did you overcome it?

Before this challenge I wouldn't say I was addicted to sugar. I didn't really eat a ton of sugary foods all the time. Since I started the challenge I have kept track of how much I haven't had sugary foods, and I have noticed that I feel better about my health and physical looks. What was hard was finding some new snacks that may have had more sugars in them.

When I eat too much sugar I can definitely tell. I feel just bloated and heavy.

I was with my 3 nephews over the weekend and they LOVE to be outside no matter what, they are 8, 4, and 2 and they love picking up trash when we are out in public and throwing it away. They love to play outside and find ways to play with nature (sticks). They are already learning about the climate change and the ecosystem in homeschool (the 8 and 4 year old). They are already helping the earth at such a young age!

That sounds awesome! I was homeschooled growing up, and spent hours everyday playing outside. There's just something so fun about wearing a leaf crown and fighting with sticks! It's great that your nephews are learning about climate change and the environment so young, they will be able to make a big impact.

Yesterday, for class we went out to a local lake and walked around while talking about our ecosystem while seeing bald eagles, and a voucher, (thankfully no snakes!) It was such a beautiful day for it and it was a day that I also forgot to put sunscreen on so my shoulders and neck got really burned... oops! haha! Being outside for that long and enjoying the fresh air and being with others is my favorite rather than looking at my phone and not connecting with others. Also, there was hardly any trash out there yay!
