I learned about the importance of having a similar quantity of lifeforms in each species, rather than just species diversity. It was great to see so many Emerson people in the chat and to hear from Mike Train about Emerson's sustainability initiatives.

We all want clean water, free of contaminants and toxins, to drink and bathe. We may not all agree on sources of contamination, but making water quality monitoring widely available helps us all.

Our TC Green Team was represented at our employee engagement fair today. We gave out flower seed packets, shared what we have been working on, and promoted our mission.

Hoping for some good weather for our tree planting activity on Friday, but the forecast is for thunderstorms. Not too many days left in our Eco Challenge month.

The hardest thing is how limited the options can be for trying to eliminate plastic. Many household products used to come in glass and cardboard containers, but that is rare now unless one seeks out a specialty retailer. Target and Walmart don't make it easy to be green.

The logistics of this action were more challenging than I anticipated. There are so many demands on our time that even the lunch hour has become full of meetings. I attended someone else's LnL, and it was educational and productive.

Our garden club had our annual seedling event last week. I got tomatoes, basil, rosemary, jalapeno and poblano peppers, and a geranium. Looking okay so far! They need to stay indoors for another month or so.
