Recent updates from this team-
April 30 at 8:44 PMWhat an awesome Earth Month everyone. I loved reading through everyones posts and I am proud of the impact the Boulder Green Machine made this year!! Don't let April ending stop you from continuing your eco journey. We only have one planet, don't wait to make a difference! Red Rock Canyon, NV

April 30 at 12:19 PMLots of opportunities to do this today. We have lots of seeds and seedlings to be planted in our Campus Food Garden. See you there in 30 min!

April 30 at 12:18 PMWe are social creatures, we do better when we work as teams, as we share experiences, as we talk about emotions. It is not always easy to organize a get together. Opening your house (or space, mind, heart) makes us feel more vulnerable, but it is also when we feel that we belong.

April 30 at 12:10 PMEducating the new generation is the way to go if we want to build a better future for the planet and for the human race.

April 30 at 12:08 PMI love ziplock bags! Every time I pull one out the box I feel guilty. My heavy heart limits my usage, and I try to replace those super practical bags with those multi-use glass tapewares often. But sometimes, I just need to use them, nothing else fits the same and for those moments, I found compostable ziplocks bags.

April 30 at 11:59 AMI was just submitting my last updates to this challenge and also spent some time reading our team feed! It is amazing to see the engagement, the new ideas, the small changes. Thank you for sharing those experiences. It made my Earth Month special.

April 30 at 9:39 AMIt is with a heavy and sad heart that I report that the mayor of Denver did not respond to my emails. I hope that someday, the next mayor will find my ideas and implement them to some degree. But until that point, stay mossy, my friends.

April 30 at 8:27 AMI noticed while tracking my use of single use plastic that a lot of it is using the plastic vegetable bags at the grocery store. To eliminate my use of this plastic I found some reusable organic cotton vegetable bags: https://www.organiccottonmart.com/collections/mesh-produce-bags. As a bonus these let air circulate better around vegetables...

April 30 at 8:26 AMI found that a lot of the plastic I throw away is food packaging. I want to eliminate some of this packaging by trying to shop at the zero waste food store in Boulder: https://nudefoodsmarket.com/.

April 30 at 7:54 AMShortening my showers has really heightened my awareness of water conservation. It's amazing how much water we can save just by cutting down a few minutes each day. Every small change adds up, and it feels good to be more mindful of our precious water resources, especially living in a state like Colorado where water conservation is crucial.
