Learning about the 7 principles of leave no trace, I hadn't previously thought much about camping only on durable surfaces. I feel like this could easily be extended to spending time in parks/outdoors to even just set-up chairs and tables for a day outside to now be mindful that they should only be set-up on durable surfaces.

Day 14: I saw some bees buzzing around the wild violets and dandelions in my back yard yesterday! It was a good reminder how beneficial it can be to wait to cut the grass until we get closer to summer if possible.

Day 13: This Sunday I spent a lot of time in my yard tending to my landscaping!

I think it's going really well! I am having a good time really putting in the effort to learn how to be an even more environmentally conscious person and am applying a lot of this new knowledge to my everyday life! But especially in my home garden ;)

I learned how important the site is to the local community. It is important to protect and support history sites so that we can learn from them.

It is an easy task to accomplish. Just keep several reusable bags in your car.

I think I respect the Leave No Trace principles anytime I hike or camp, even if I didn't previously know them by heart. I would like to be more mindful vegetation or soil in the future.

I researched native ground covers to plant in an area of the yard that used to be a flower bed. I want to plant a native ground cover instead of grass to eliminate the need to mow in this area. I've decided to go to a plant nursery and ask for a recommendation for a native species to plant.

After, I felt ready to tackle a long task ahead.

Exercising always helps clear my mind, brings a kind of stillness similar to meditation. Grateful to have gotten a good workout in between tasks!
