Sophie's actions

Personal

Write in a Resilience Journal

Reflection helps us adapt and grow. I will spend 5 minutes writing in a journal about challenges I face, the strengths I use, and what helps me thrive.

COMPLETED 2
DAILY ACTIONS

Personal

Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep

Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 300 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.

COMPLETED 29
DAILY ACTIONS

Take the Pre-Survey

Take the Pre-Event Survey

I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

Personal

Exercise Daily

Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 30 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.

COMPLETED 10
DAILY ACTIONS

Water

Understand My Water Footprint

Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

What is resilience?

Reflect on My Own Resilience

Resilience is personal and collective. I will reflect on a time when I adapted to change in my own life, writing down what helped me and what I learned from the experience.

COMPLETED 1
DAILY ACTION

Soil and Food

Enjoy a Meatless Meal

Producing 1 kg of beef emits as much greenhouse gas as driving 150 miles, meanwhile, 1 kg of veggies or grains leaves a much lighter footprint! This week, I’ll shrink my climate impact by having 1 meatless meals meals each day.

COMPLETED 6
DAILY ACTIONS

Biodiversity and Wildlife

Leave the Leaves

Fallen leaves, logs, and brush provide shelter and food for wildlife. I will leave natural features in my yard or community space to help strengthen biodiversity and soil resilience.

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

Share My Why

Take the Earth Month Ecochallenge Feedback Survey

I will take a short survey about my experience to help the Ecochallenge team improve future events, earn a chance to win a prize, and earn 15 points!

COMPLETED

Share My Why

Today I got a morning outside walk in with my roommate. It was great to start the day being outside and exercising. It felt great being up with the birds and hearing nature wake up in the morning.

This week I plan on walking outside for 30 minutes everyday to end on a positive note for this ecochallenge. I usually walk inside on the treadmill or go to an inside gym but I am trying to make an effort to do my exercise outside.

Today I plan on eating one meal that is meatless. I have been enjoying thinking of ways to eat meatless meals and coming up with new meal ideas.

Yah, I still got to try the mushroom pancakes. No more meatless than real pancakes, but low water?
