Join or Start a Green Team
Green teams strengthen resilience by creating shared responsibility. I will join or help start a green team in my workplace, school, or community group to support sustainability and collaboration.

Sharing our talents can benefit those around us. I will offer my skills or services that contribute to local self-sufficiency, such as teaching a repair skill or helping with a neighbor's garden.

Speak Up for Wildlife Protection
Wildlife needs support from people. I will take 3 actions, such as volunteering, signing petitions, contacting leaders, or sharing information on social media, to help protect habitats and species.
What is resilience?
Share a Definition of Resilience
Sharing builds common understanding. I will share 3 definitions of resilience that resonate with me—through conversations, social media, or the event feed—to help others explore what resilience means.
Water
Create My Own Water Action
Everyone’s water needs and use are different. I will create an action that works for my life and supports water resilience—and make my commitment public by sharing it in the feed to inspire others.
Take the Pre-Survey
Take the Pre-Event Survey
I’ll take a short pre-survey to share what motivated me to join — and earn 15 points! (If I already took the survey by email, I’ll just mark this action complete to get my points.)
Personal
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 60 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Personal
Go Get a Check Up
Regular health check-ups help prevent problems before they start. I will schedule or attend a medical, dental, or mental health check-up to take care of my well-being.
Personal
Prepare for Extreme Weather
Extreme weather events like hurricanes, wildfires, and floods can disrupt lives and upend our communities. I will take proactive steps to prepare for extreme weather by safeguarding my home and creating or updating an emergency plan and kit with essential supplies, evacuation routes, and contact information.
Community
Join a Group
Belonging to a group can help build friendships and a sense of purpose. I will explore online or in-person groups or clubs that share my interests or goals and join a group to connect with others.
Community
Take Part in a Community Beautification Project
Working together builds resilience and pride in the places we care about. I will participate in 5 community projects such as a cleanup or local beautification project that strengthens connections and shared purpose.
Community
Swap and Share with Others
Swapping and sharing resources reduces waste and builds community bonds. I will participate in 3 swaps or sharing activities, like borrowing items, attending or hosting a swap meet, or giving away items I no longer need to support a sharing economy with friends, family, colleagues or neighbors.
Work and Organizations
Map Local Risks and Resources
Preparedness is part of resilience. I will spend 60 minutes with colleagues identifying potential risks (such as weather, supply chain, or staffing issues) and the resources or strategies available to address them.
Personal
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 60 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Personal
Enjoy Fruits and Veggies
Eating a wide variety of colorful fruits and vegetables is a simple way to boost our personal health and support a more resilient food system. I will prepare and enjoy 4 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
Personal
Share a Health or Well-being Resource
Sharing knowledge helps others nurture their well-being. Through social media, in the Ecochallenge feed, or in conversations, I will share 1 health or well-being resources with friends, family, or my community to promote a healthier, more resilient world.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalWhat resource did you share, and how do you think it could help others? How does sharing knowledge about well-being strengthen your relationships or community?
Dina Lomagno 4/14/2026 10:36 AMI started working with a health and wellness coach which has changed my life dramatically, It's helped with focus, stress and overall health. I continue to share their information and how they've helped me as I think it would benefit so many others. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?
Dina Lomagno 4/14/2026 10:34 AMThis has been a fun one for me! I've started introducing new fruits and veggies that I haven't tried before. My new obsession is Kabocha squash, it tastes just like a baked potato and is so simple to cook! Just quarter it, drizzle some oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper and bake! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow did exercising each day impact your physical and mental resilience? What activities helped you feel stronger, more flexible, or more capable of adapting?
Dina Lomagno 4/12/2026 4:31 PMI started plateauing at Pilates as of late, so I have been researching on something that will take my fitness journey to the next level. I already work out and do weight training at the gym so I want it just that extra something and I found it in Lagree. It definitely is out of my comfort zone and it’s torture, but I am feeling so much stronger just in the last five classes I’ve taken. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be in six months.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalWhat resource or strategy stood out to you the most, and how could it help you strengthen your resilience when you face stress or uncertainty?
Dina Lomagno 4/12/2026 4:27 PMI started working with the health and wellness coach about two months ago and this has been a long-term focus. I didn’t realize how long I’ve been in fight or flight mode. I’m definitely not a meditation person, but there have been ways for me to reduce my anxiety that she’s shown with certain movements and breath exercise exercises that have worked really well. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow did improving your sleep affect your energy, focus, or mood? What role does rest play in helping you feel more balanced and capable of handling challenges?
Dina Lomagno 4/02/2026 12:26 PMAs you get older things change, habits you once had start to deterioate with no reasoning. This has been sleep for me, I used to be able to sleep a full night, sleep in, etc. but the last few years that has changed. After working with a health and wellness coach I started taking a natural supplement that changed my Magnesium intake, nothing crazy, just some added benefits and guess what? I slept through the entire last night. BIG win for me! -
Dina Lomagno 4/01/2026 12:14 PMToday is the day everyone!! All it takes is ONE person and ONE action to make an impact and change course. What is your goal for this Earth Month Challenge? I spent last weekend processing my compost and spread that throughout all my trees, then topped with organic grow mulch which not only protects them from the Las Vegas heat but increases their resiliency throughout the rest of the year. In addition I've started recycling excess water overage from watering my potted plants to moving them into where my trees and shrubs are. We are water scarce here so every single drop counts!-

I use a bucket to collect water from the shower while it heats up. I can then use this on my garden.

Dina Lomagno 3/17/2026 10:04 AMThe U.S. is getting hit with major weather whiplash this week — from blizzards and tornado‑spawning storms to record heat in the West. Millions are facing power outages, dangerous winds, and major travel disruptions. Stay safe — and try these quick ways to conserve energy & water during extreme weather:🌬️ Lower your energy load: Adjust your thermostat a few degrees, unplug devices, and avoid running big appliances during peak storm times.🏠 Keep temps steady: Close blinds during heat spikes; seal doors/windows to reduce heating loss during cold snaps.💧 Conserve water: Take shorter showers, fix leaks, and delay lawn watering — storms and heat both strain water systems.⚡ Prep for outages: Charge devices, keep flashlights handy, and minimize opening the fridge to keep food cool longer.🚗 Stay off dangerous roads: Blizzard and severe wind zones are seeing near‑zero visibility and widespread closures.📢 Stay weather‑aware: Turn on emergency alerts and follow NOAA/NWS updates.Extreme weather is hitting coast‑to‑coast — but small steps at home help protect you, your community, and the grid. Stay safe, stay prepared. 💚-
