Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.

    Single-use plastic bags are used for just minutes but take hundreds of years to break down! Let's challenge ourselves to bring our own reusable bags with us when shopping - and take it one step further by keeping a few in your car (or purse) at all times.       Definitely need to keep one or two in my purse. Too often I have to run back to the car because I forgot to get them out of the back when I walk in the store. 😊 While it adds steps to exercise, I need to create a reminder somehow to grab the bags as I go in. If I have a quick trip with minimal items, I just carry the items out without a bag. One step I stopped years ago was putting my produce in the small produce plastic bags. It is amazing the amount of people that ask if I need a bag when carrying an armful of produce to my buggy. I politely decline and say it is better for the environment if I do not hoping it will stop others from using them as well. 🌎

      Totally agree with your plan! We also keep a few trash bags in our car, and use as many times as possible, until they get soiled.
