Adding fruits and vegetables to our meals nourishes our body and the planet. I will prepare and enjoy 5 servings of a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.
Land, Water, and Air
Learn to Choose Forest-Friendly Foods
Our food choices can help protect forests and wildlife. I will spend 5 minutes learning how to choose foods that are grown in ways that protect forests, such as avoiding products linked to deforestation and seeking certified sustainable options like shade-grown coffee or palm oil-free products.
Wildlife
Make Smart Seafood Choices
I will visit seafoodwatch.org or download the app and commit to making better seafood choices for a healthier ocean.
Health and Well-Being
Declutter and Donate
Decluttering can reduce stress and benefit others. I will declutter my home and donate items I no longer need to support others in my community.

Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 30 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.

Christina Heyne 4/01/2025 10:53 AMWith all the recent advancements in recent technologies and space exploration I feel ever more desperate to keep the focus on how to save the world we live in, rather than reaching for other worlds without so much as a weed growing on it. It baffles me how careless humanity has become and I'm hoping that my behavior "rubs" off on people that otherwise seem to go through life without spending a single thought on how destructive they are. With all we have learned about the universe, it seems illogical to me to treat this most precious planet we live on as if there was a "spare" somewhere. We have such a capacity to make a positive impact and yet most of the time we chose to serve our own greed, the need to get ahead and the selfish notion that we don't live long enough to see the end - so why bother. I heard just recently that in a very critical time during a stalled political negotiation between 2 countries, the leaders were unwilling to come to an agreement until someone said, do you want your children or grandchildren to live in the world of war that you are creating? That one mental image got them back to the table for a peace agreement. My hope for the world at large is that the people who don't care about our planet, have an epiphany that shows them where they and their children are headed - if they don't adjust. Have a good look at Venus - if you would not want to set up house in a planetary hell like that, maybe it's time to be more careful with the beautiful blue space-ball we call home. I'm here to take another step toward a future that is worth passing to my kids.
