Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.

    Thrifty Thursday!!! I enjoy giving away clothing items and receiving hand me down to keep up with my growing boys! I love to give away items I no longer need to support a sharing economy with friends, family, colleagues or neighbors. It takes a village they say- and it sure does!

    Making that extra effort to conserve clean water that we sometimes take for granted these days. Turning off the water during my long toothbrushing sessions (good dental hygiene is a true obsession), filling the dishwasher to the "brim" to make the most of the load, and doing the same for the clothes washer!

    I am more mindful of unused running water while handwashing dishes. Putting the dishwasher cycle on eco mode decreases the water needs of the cycle.

    I'm hosting a group dinner and doing it potluck style! There is a challenge to make a recipe with food that is nearing its expiration date :) I am so looking forward to leftovers the next day too!

    We received a farewell gift from a classmate at daycare that included a seed packet for a California Poppy flower. We are excited to get outside and plant it after school today as the ground is nice and moist after some recent rain showers.

    Eight hours of sleep is a must for me to stay on my toes and be ready for every day's challenges and opportunities. As a busy Mom I have to make my sleep a priority and plan it.
