Rohit's actions

Freshwater + Oceans

Reduce Car wash with Pressure washer and Automatic Washer

Pressure washer water consumption per car wash - 120 L Clean Car Glasses with a wet cloth, Vacuum any dirt from inside and Wash the car only when needed saves significant water. Target to get full car wash once in a month in place of weekly.

DAILY ACTIONS

Freshwater + Oceans

Use a Reusable Water Bottle

Itr's estimated over a billion water bottles are thrown away each year. Even if they were recycled, that still uses energy and resources from the earth. I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 2 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.

COMPLETED 26
DAILY ACTIONS

Climate + Air

Use Less Air Condition System

Use AC minimum as much as possible. AC consumes 20% of the overall building's electricity and is a significant contributor to the Global Warming problem. Personally, I am committed to use AC less then 4 hours in extreme summer and Zero AC usage apart from summer at home. Sustainable Action Plan: 1. Use Natural fresh air as much as possible. In the morning and evening, open full windows, which keep the home cool. 2. Use FAN as much as possible. FAN consumes 1 % of electricity as compared to AC. 3. when AC is necessary, use at Temp. setting of 25 deg C.

DAILY ACTIONS

Climate + Air

Use Public Transit

Public transportation reduces pollution, improves community, and creates safe streets. I will use public transit 10 miles per day and avoid sending up to (___) lbs of CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.

COMPLETED 24
DAILY ACTIONS

Climate + Air

Use Muscle Power

I will cut my car trip mileage by only taking necessary trips, and I will only use muscle-powered transportation for all other trips.

Action Track: Community

Raise Awareness for the Conservation of Freshwater and Oceans

I will spend 60 minutes learning more about the importance of freshwater + ocean conservation, and how I can reduce my water use. I will share what I learn with people in person, on social media, and on the feed.

COMPLETED

    FAN vs Air condition:
Regular Fan only consumes a fraction of electricity as compared to an Air conditioning System.
Use it over AC whenever the temperature is tolerable or can be maintained by a regular fan.
Air conditions are responsible for 10% of overall Global Warming gas emissions.
I necessary Use AC with temperature Setpoint of 25 deg. cel to minimize the energy consumption in cooling.

Every year, 1.7 million tonnes of Plastic ends up in the oceans which is .5% of overall Plastic waste.
It proposes a Great threat to ocean Biodiversity and its main source of Plastic entering into the Food Chain.
It's not just a short-term problem; in the long run, it poses a great threat to the entire plant ecosystem.
