    Got a quote on new energy-efficient windows. Mine are over 20 years old and not doing a great job here in the swamps of Florida where A/C is used 10 months out of the year. It should make a significant difference in terms of energy usage and efficiency.

    Getting outside for a walk, in a local park, is great for my overall health and attitude. I sit a lot in my current job, so a walk is key.

    For many years I have utilized the Monterey Bay's Fishwatch chart to make my seafood choices. In addition, from living on the Outer Banks, I have become very conscious of the way NC shrimp is harvested and make my choices based on the least harmful methods.

    Spending time outside grounds and connects me to the natural world around me. It reminds me that I am not alone. Often when outside, I sense divine beauty and presence.

    I did not realize how much my carbon footprint was, as I try to reduce it when I can. The biggest area is related to my meat consumption. I can reduce my meat consumption and find high-protein plant-based alternatives when I am able to.

    My water footprint was well below the average American, but still way too high. I will continue to find ways to be more mindful. The biggest way to reduce my water footprint would be to reduce the amount of meat I eat. I could also take even quicker showers. Amazing how our water use adds up!
