April 15 at 7:36 AMGot a quote on new energy-efficient windows. Mine are over 20 years old and not doing a great job here in the swamps of Florida where A/C is used 10 months out of the year. It should make a significant difference in terms of energy usage and efficiency.

April 11 at 5:19 AMFor many years I have utilized the Monterey Bay's Fishwatch chart to make my seafood choices. In addition, from living on the Outer Banks, I have become very conscious of the way NC shrimp is harvested and make my choices based on the least harmful methods.

April 10 at 9:21 PMSpending time outside grounds and connects me to the natural world around me. It reminds me that I am not alone. Often when outside, I sense divine beauty and presence.

April 8 at 7:41 AMI did not realize how much my carbon footprint was, as I try to reduce it when I can. The biggest area is related to my meat consumption. I can reduce my meat consumption and find high-protein plant-based alternatives when I am able to.

April 5 at 6:07 AMMy water footprint was well below the average American, but still way too high. I will continue to find ways to be more mindful. The biggest way to reduce my water footprint would be to reduce the amount of meat I eat. I could also take even quicker showers. Amazing how our water use adds up!
