The Star Room

Today the Peace Room planted their Pothos plants they’ve been caring for all year. We talked about Photosynthesis and how plants help clean the air, indoors and out.

It’s a good day to be Mother Earth. 🌍 Students have rescued beetles and other insects and returned them to save places in nature!

This morning many of the students shared with their peers the various ways they are trying to conserve water at home. The students proudly shared how they took shorter showers, turned Orr the water while they were brushing their teeth, and talked to their adults about doing the same.

After the Star Room discussed the 7 guiding principles for being in nature, several of them illustrated those principles during their free time, drawing elaborate pictures showing how both to be and not to be in nature. I learned that my footprint is much lower than overage, but there are still plenty of ways we can reduce our water use!

Joining so Corinne can join the Star Room in learning how to better support the earth and the environment around us. And then she can help keep her family engaged in the same.
