I was driving home and saw the sun set. I was so captivated with the beauty I just had to pull over and take a picture. I also sat there for a few minutes to clear my mind from the workload of earlier that day.

I went for a walk near my home and the benefits were great to get fresh air, clear my mind and to take in the beauty of nature.

Working with others to keep our community clean makes me feel great that we take pride in where we live. As we were cleaning up we saw a mother goose resting on her eggs and surrounding her was garbage, it was so sad to see and made me realize that this is probably all around the world and everyone should take more of an effort to keep the earth clean.

Seeing the types of items being discarded highlights just how little we actually reuse, recycle, and compost. By cleaning up my local area, I feel like I'm making a healthier and cleaner space for others to enjoy.

In our community we have a small stream that we keep clean weekly. We also have a park with baseball fields, soccer fields and a pickleball court that we try to maintain as a community on a daily basis. Supporting these causes has helped with my Eco challenge contributions.

    Freshwater + Oceans Go Plastic-Free
Where did plastic show up on your life that surprised you the most? What plastic alternative products did you discover you may switch to?

I am always shocked to see organic peppers wrapped in plastic on a Styrofoam tray in the grocery store. Completely defeats the purpose of buying organic if it's going to be wrapped in petrolium.
