April 18 at 1:43 PMLooking forward to a trip to a local nursery this weekend to purchase new plants for my garden. I'm most excited to plant a variety of flowers to boost pollinators!

April 18 at 10:38 AMA thriving environment is one where every element—food, shelter, and order—supports life in balance. This label reminds us that sustainability isn’t just a concept, it’s the foundation for survival!

April 18 at 10:08 AMAs the weather starts to get warmer it has encouraged me to walk even more. In the evenings I will walk to the store when I need to pick up a few items, rather than driving. I get fresh air, exercise, and my errands done all in one.

April 18 at 9:11 AMMy cherry tree is in full bloom and the pollinators are all about! I love the bees, we have several wild species, and some honeybees. There are also many small flies & wasps. Every year we have a bountiful garden, and I never use any pesticides! I trust Mother Nature to keep things in balance, and it works. My garden is patrolled by...

April 17 at 10:16 AMI'm not sure I learned anything new, but it was a good opportunity for a refresher and to evaluate my current preparedness. Windstorms are prevalent here, and at times very severe. We are prepared with the majority of recommended items. There is also the looming possibility of a major earthquake. I am going to increase my water storage over the...

April 16 at 1:34 PMI get my cats food from a business called smalls and I think it’s amazing that the insulators they use to keep the food cold with dry ice is a corn-based styrofoam so it’s biodegradable and can actually be washed down the sink! It’d be great if more business can be this innovative and sustainable when shipping out items that require...

April 16 at 10:50 AMMy wife and I purchased 3 new rose “old fashion “ bushes, as they are better pollinators from a locally owned nursery.

April 16 at 8:08 AMWhen I started reading about plastic, a surprising thing for me was how dangerous balloons are. I did not realize that they are commonly found in stomachs of dead animals and can cause starvation. Obviously, I don't use balloons very often, but it makes me re-think, if I want to use them ever again.

April 15 at 1:17 PMBack at work today after a wonderful week of vacation, exploring our nation's capital - our days were full of monuments, memorials and museums. I'm meeting up with a friend/co-worker after work today to go for a long walk, and we're bringing trash bags to clean up our neighborhood along the way! Will update with a picture tomorrow!
