I hosted a free range egg farm with a tea afterwards to discuss sustainability passion areas. Mine are sustainable and humane farming and air quality. The majority of our group cared passionately about reduced consumption and reusing whenever possible. One attendee was passionate about conflict minerals and taught us about those.

Something that I learned on this is that it's important to clean out the filter in your dishwasher regularly when you allow your dishwasher to do the hard work of removing particles of food. So when scraping instead of rinsing, also build in a regular habit of checking the filter.

I learned that eggs are the lowest carbon option for high-quality protein, and I will continue to eat my hens' eggs and use them instead of meats and even instead of beans and lentils that have similar carbon footprints whenever possible - love that my egg farming is actually very sustainable too!!
