It was such a busy month! We didn’t get a chance to check in daily but we completed many of our daily tasks throughout the month. We also accomplished walking to or from school at least once a day for this month. On this last day of Earth Month we walked the rail trail and collected a bag of litter.

I hope some of you had a chance to learn something new or challenge yourself to complete a daily task. Once you commit to it, you are encouraged to complete it. We’ll tally up our impact and share at our next leaders meeting. Thank you for signing up! Happy Earth Month 🌎

Custom task added! We are challenging ourselves to walk to school at least once a day for drop off/pick up. Now that the weather is better, there's no excuse for us. We live a few blocks from school and it just makes sense. Hoping we walk to and from school most days this month.

Do you ever try to cluster errands so you take less trips? Do you wish we could access more walkable/bikeable businesses for daily/weekly needs? Has anyone traversed the entire pedestrian and bike path? We can make it from one end of town to the other! I recently walked from Route 23 by Circle Farms all the way to CVS & beyond. Looking forward to the completion of the project when we'll be able to walk to Mountain View in Wayne.

Rain, Rain, Rain! Another rainy day over spring break, looks like we'll be getting some points for research today as we haven't gotten outside much.

NBS is going to plant a pollinator garden this year. We started to research native plants. I'm excited to take on this project as a parent volunteer, but also apprehensive as I do not have a green thumb. Hoping to learn more here and through our community's experts. Anyone have a favorite native plan we MUST include in our garden design?

TODAY IS THE DAY! Welcome to PEQ GS's Earth Month EcoChallenge Team. This is a fun way for girl scouts and their families to learn about conservation efforts and ways to be more sustainable and ecofriendly. Challenge yourself to check in daily and attempt to complete tasks. Each task has informational videos and websites where you can research the topics further. We hope you learn a lot this month and this ecochallenge makes an impact on your life! Looking forward to hearing your feedback. Sharing your thoughts earns you more points!
