I talked about the first time I tried to repair a piece of clothing instead of just tossing it out. It was a total mess at first, but finally finishing it felt surprisingly empowering. In my opinion, it felt good to share because it’s a small thing, but it’s a form of resilience against the “fast fashion” culture we’re used to. It made me think...

I believe it helped reinforce that sense of community, and it made me proud to see that the people who I call my friends share the same love that I have for the planet.

I like to spend time in the morning outside as well as going on walks. Since this is Spring, I notice that the days getting much longer than the previous winter as well as the uprising of bugs and plant growth in the daytime showing resilience after another winter has past.

I know taking shorter showers helps conserve water, but I still don't know how much I'm using since I don't track it. Water saving practices can include using less sink water when washing dishes, laundry, and shower time.

I've been using paper plates due to house repairs as well as taking shorter showers, so I save lots of water there. Since all the water I use goes down the drain I don't really know how much I use daily.

I connect with family when I can and see the importance of socialization. I read that isolation is the same as smoking 15 cigarettes a day for health. Connecting with people builds resilience in a community because it defines the community itself and enables us to help each other out.

Having a solar generator, dry goods, and rain barrels. This made me feel more prepared and will know that if there are others who are not as prepared, I can help. I have also told other family and friends how it is good to be prepared since we are in more uncertain times due to climate change and political upheaval.

Any leaves that fell, I used them in my flowerbeds and when moving the law, I used a push mower to leave the grass. The invertebrates rely on the leaves as food and shelter. Even birds, toads, butterflies, and other small bugs rely on them for shelter and food.

Changing dishwashing habits made me more mindful of water use by realizing how much water I was using without even thinking about it. instead of leaving the Tap running, I became more mindful by turning it off while scrubbing and using a filled sink when possible. It showed me that small actions can add up and make a bg difference over time....

A biodiversity hotspot ive explored. is the Tropical Andes in South America. Its important to protect extremely high number of unique species found nowhere else especially plants, birds, and amphibians. its Also under pressure from deforestation, farming and climate change. Protecting it connects to global resilience because healthy ecosystems...
