Its important to think about ecosystems and lifecycle impacts. This makes a lot of sense for agriculture but likely can be applied to all aspects of our life.

I'm interested in trying out both the Clearya and ThinkDirty apps. It would be nice to have a quick way to scan products and dig deeper than the labels. EWG has long been a good resource, I appreciate its commitment to material transparency.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land + Forests Compost Food Waste
New to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?

I have loved having a compost bin under the sink, I want to get an actual composting pit in my back yard to create more garden "food"! It makes me feel less wasteful even though I do purchase a compost bin through my city.

It's been amazing to pick up trash in my neighborhood at home and work. I feel like I'm not only helping my neighbors but playing a part in making everyone's life a little better and more enjoyable! It makes me feel really good about life!

I definitely felt like I was looking out for the well being of my community especially with the tin foil black tar meth remnants in the local park where dogs and kids walk every day!
