    I researched Bascom Hill in Madison. It was sacred to the Ho-Chunk people for thousands of years before Europeans arrived here. UW-Madison is working to acknowledge this history by hiring their first Director of Tribal Relations, hosting informative events, including curriculum on Native Nations, and several other initiatives.

    Sustainable sourcing - I try to get a good amount of my household items from Green Life Trading in Madison.

    Switching to shorter wash times and filling the sink inste4ad of running water continuously helped conserve more. I also use a water efficient faucet head and only run the dishwasher or washing machine on full loads.

    Being outside helped me feel calm and clear-headed. Nature always grounds me, it lifted my mood and gave me a break from everyday distractions.
