I talked to my middle school cousin about problems and they also wrote a email to todd gloria expressing the same concern as me. I thinkw e can change the youths perspectives becasue we are the youth, so it is coming from more of a peer perspective

I learned about Tere Gonzalez. What inspired me most was there dedication and how far they were willing to go. I ccan support them by aprticipating in their portests and signing their protests

Widespread changes in food packaging could massively benefit the environment. Changing to more eco-friendly options would reduce plastic pollution drastically, and reduce fossil fuel emissions that cause global warming.

Pollinators like bees and butterflies impact my life by helping grow the fruits, vegetables, and nuts I eat. Without them, our food choices would be limited and way more expensive. To help them thrive, I can plant native flowers, avoid pesticides, and support local farms that use pollinator-friendly practices.

Replacing old bulbs helps us conserve electricity that would've been otherwise been wasted. Other energy saving actions I can take include turning off the lights and AC when i'm not home and unplugging appliances that aren't being used.

I learned that tourism can disrupt wildlife habitats and stress animals, especially when people get too close or support attractions that exploit them. I can research eco-certified tours, avoid places that offer direct contact with wild animals, and support conservation-focused places. By choosing travel options that are responsible, I can help...

I learned that the indigenous people only took as much as they needed and used every part of every buffalo they killed, and they also used fish to grow plants. Future generations can use this as inspiration and only take what they actually need and work to use every part of every resource they take.

Collecting rainwater influenced my understanding of sustainable water us by highlighting how a natural resource, readily available and often wasted, can be harnessed for various needs.Washing vehicles and pets, and flushing toilets can help.
  • April 30 at 11:49 PM
I learned that seaweed is extremely important to our ocean ecosystems and helps the environment by absorbing a large amount of carbon. They are also very environmentally friendly to farm, making them an eco friendly food source for humans to produce.
  • April 30 at 11:48 PM
I learned about Vanessa Nakate’s unique approach to discussing climate issues in Africa, showing how localized activism can stil spark global change. I also supported Autumn Peltier’s commitment to Indigenous water rights, and protecting our natural resources. They both inspired me to take action and make a change in my own community, even if...
