    The small city I live in just posted an opportunity to have a tree planted in your yard. I thought this was a great opportunity and didn't know if anyone else had anything similar. We know that trees are so detrimental to our earth.

    I added to my prairie garden! I love the smell of bergamot so it was a welcome addition.

    I picked up trash as part of our annual service day. I found someone’s smashed car brakes and two big pieces of rebar. Someone else found a toaster! We picked up as much as we could before the rain started, but together we got about seven bags full!

    I do the Ecochallenge every semester- three time a year, with my students. Seeing how involved everyone is, seeing them learn how easy it is to make a difference, and knowing that some of these habits will become permanent...well that's why I teach.
