Planning out meals as a family in advance was efficient and ensured that there was no food waste as we knew what we were eating in advance, and could freeze food to have another day if we made too much.

It felt good knowing we were helping the local environment. Planted local flowers. Read that it helps with bees and cross pollination.

I am enjoying this eco-challenge, today I purposely took a jog to the mailbox rather than drive which saved an unnecessary car journey even though it would have been more convenient for me. I will continue this practice so that I am not contributing to releasing carbon emissions into the atmosphere when I can help it.

I actually do have an environmentally sustainable dishwasher that does not use the heat drying technology!
  • April 3 at 9:19 AM
I will gladly use the dishwasher instead of hand washing dishes - thanks for the sustainability reminder!

Today I learned about wolves being introduced back into the population of the Yellowstone National Park in the mid 1990's. Deer numbers had grown out of control and the wolves being introduced helped control their numbers by hunting them.
