I knew quite a bit about bees already but I learned today that they will fly long distances to the flowers they prefer! That's why planting natives is so helpful. I recently bought a red flowering currant, a native shrub for our area and it's also beautiful! I'll be adding it to the new garden bed my partner and I just created in our back yard....

No surprises! I knew what I was going to eat and was certain to purchase enough for the week.

Successfully was able to reuse all my "porch compost" for initial planting. Woohoo!

I have been using a tool from PETA to reach out to all lawmakers local and national to raise awareness of animal agriculture and its impact on the planet.

My son and I spent an hour clearing debris at a reservoir at the end of our street! We also cleared all the beer cans from the area (waaaaay too many).

Spent an hour cleaning this area.

It started off slow but has taken off of late as i put more focus into the earth

Changing our diets for the planet is always easy in the beginning, it's the sticking with it that's tricky!

My daughter and I picked up trash at her school and nearby park on Earth Day

My days feel fuller. There were a lot of families around enjoying the warmer weather and it was great seeing all peoples enjoy the trails.
