Continuing to walk to the grocery store and hike the mountains are my house, instead of driving to the gym and grocery store instead. Going great so far! :)

Working from home is great and I love it! However, sitting and looking at a screen for an extended period of time is not good for my brain or body. Getting out for a walk with my dog and my partner a few times a day not only breaks up my screen time but also revitalizes my energy for the rest of my day. And now that our PNW rain has let up a...

Ugh. The more I read about water injustice near me and all around me for that matter - the more frustrated I get. We literally have water issues in every state, EVERYWHERE! I was ignorant to think it was just here and there.

Dr. King once said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

How was everyone's weekend? We got out for a misty raining hike with the pup on Saturday. I think we did about 2.5 miles with some nice elevation. I was enjoying all the native plants that are starting to bloom, saw lots of yellow trout lilly, white trillium and bleeding heart! Not too many birds out but I was able to identify a Pacific Wren by...

I feel like it has been a slow start, and yes, I am going to blame the cold and still wintery conditions up until the past couple of days.

I have been reading about edible plants in my area daily. Signing up for a mushroom identification course!
