I consulted a lot of different resources and developed a 15-question trivia contest. Five questions were centered on Earth Day and its history, five were on plastics, and five were on recycling IQ.

Prizes for the winners were some new, reusable bags that I had already saved from a landfill two years ago, some laundry detergent sheet, and and herb garden starter.

I am not currently composting since we have chickens that eat nearly all of our food waste. When we had horses, we built a specific shed/barn with a concrete base and a roof to allow proper moisture management for composting the manure and eliminate (or at least minimize) runoff into the local creek.

I have been using a meal kit service for 3 dinners each week. It's nice to have the right amount of each ingredient needed to minimize waste. The boxes delivered make some attempt at reducing packaging (especially plastic), but they could do better.
