Replacing some lilac and honeysuckle bushes to add to the garden. The hummingbirds are all around in the blooming season and the lilac aroma is amazing.

Our green teams have made a huge impact across the organization during Earth Month and the Ecochallenge. Great job team. Looking forward to reviewing all of the great events, teamwork, and results soon.

Starting bringing our reusable bags to use when we order takeaway food from a restaurant to avoid the use of the plastic bags. Haven't yet considered bringing our own reusable containers, but that may be next on the list.

Made some great improvements over the weekend on a local trail for the bikers and hikers. Had a good turnout with even the kids getting involved.

On trash and recycling days for our street, I have had to pick up debris left behind by during the pick up process using the truck's container clamp. I recently observed my neighbors as well as the waste management company doing the same to not leave debris behind on the road or grass. How to improve the process to ensure all materials enter the truck in the first place?

Lots of postings about Earth month almost being finished. The Ecochallenge lives in us all. We all can and should keep the momentum and make our efforts during the month lasting, year-round habits.

Found some bamboo straws online and going to see how they work out. Tried paper straws and they did not hold up very well even though some had good experiences.

Perfect day for some planting and pruning. Lots of bird and bee life already all around. Fortunately they left me alone, mostly.
