Yard clean up over the weekend ... Added more to the compost pile.

Even with good intention, each of us must do significant research into the investments and their claims to be "sustainable". Without consistent criteria or group that verifies the claims, it is on us to figure it out.

Nature is a web of interlocking plants, microbes, fungi, animals all of which support each other. Many of these interactions are still poorly understood. Many of the practices we follow as conventional wisdom disrupt this interaction.

More composting this week.. Cleaned up an area along another fence. This filled a 33gal trash can with leaves and stuff I packed in. Probably about 30lbs worth. I added it to my ever ready compost pile. As I was turning the stuff in the pile, there are earth worms all over the place. I leave my compost sitting on the ground to allow these...
