I just mended a pair of my running socks today :) Strangely enough I have to mend my socks multiple times a year because they get holes in the toes - I like to keep my socks for years so most of my socks have mended toes but it is a great way to reuse/continue to use clothing items that don't need replaced yet. I also mend any other types of...

A few pictures from our morning PLOG walk on Black Creek Greenway. I enjoy adding a little chalk art in the tunnel in hopes that it will surprise someone and potentially brighten their day....which is the effect that the dragonfly had on me when I saw it...I want to keep the tradition going!

Today I walked on the Meadows Paths at the NCMA and while enjoying time outdoors I also read all the information displays and learned about the local meadows, what the art museum does to support a sustainable outdoor environment at the Art Park, etc. I also learned about the importance of planting native plant species which is something that I...

I HIGHLY recommend that everyone (including Tim) complete the #CountMeInCary survey questionnaires - the deadline isn't until September of this year but the city is collecting citizen feedback for the city's future stewardship strategies for sustainability There are multiple short surveys on various topics so it doesn't take long and you don't...

This is such a simple and meaningful way to positively impact the environment, help improve animal and human safety and make nature a more incredible and enjoyable place. I love being outside both in NC and FL and I will be incorporating plogging a couple of times a week into my regular schedule on an ongoing basis :)

Love that Starbucks rewards customers that bring and use their own reusable cups. More companies should do this.

Today I "unsubscribed" from one of the weekly coupon/flyer mailers that we receive in Cary - it just fills up our mailbox and we end up throwing the information directly into the recycling...REDUCING trumps RECYCLING :)
