Attended another volunteer event today in Portland - the weather was amazing, and we picked up lots of trash, some cleaned-up graffiti, while other spruced up the park.

I purchased seeds of flowers loved by pollinators - can't wait to see them grow!

My husband built me the planters that I painted in black, then filled up with aromatic herbs and flowers. This was a project I had for years and finally completed it this weekend. It makes me so happy and proud of the hard work we accomplished as a team! The bag between the planters contains potatoes.

I went for a walk in my neighborhood during my lunch break and took pictures of the spring flowers. The weather was perfect!

My husband built me planters for my front patio; I sanded and painted them, then filled them with mulch and soil and planted my herbs: rosemary, lemon-thyme, English thyme, chive, Italian parsley, spicy oregano, spearmint and peppermint.

Today, I wrote and sent a pretty card to my best friend in France and told her how much our 30 years friendship meant to me. It felt right to tell these meaningful things because it's never too late. We don't tell our friends (or family) how important they are in France; unfortunately. I needed to change that even if it's a baby step.

I regularly participate to clean up events organized by SOLVE in Portland. I love doing that, you can tell right away the impact on the community.
